Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PlugClose, a community map for finding places to charge your devices. By using PlugClose you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Who can use PlugClose
You must be at least 16 years old and sign in with a valid Google account. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
2. What PlugClose is
PlugClose shows charging spots that are submitted and reviewed by the community. New spots are moderated before they appear publicly, but PlugClose is an information service — it doesn't own, operate, or control the venues shown.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, spam, or advertising content;
- post unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or abusive content;
- upload photos you don't have the rights to, or that reveal other people's private information;
- scrape, overload, probe, or interfere with the service or its security;
- use PlugClose to break any law or any venue's rules.
4. Your content and license
You keep ownership of the spots, reviews, and photos you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting it, you grant PlugClose a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the service. You confirm you have the rights to grant this license and that Your Content doesn't violate anyone's rights.
5. Moderation and removal
We may review, edit, refuse, or remove any content, and suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion — for example, to enforce these Terms or to keep the community safe. You can report content you believe breaks these Terms from within the app.
6. Accuracy and "as is" disclaimer
Charging information on PlugClose is community-sourced and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. We don't guarantee that any outlet is available, working, free of charge, or safe to use. Always check with the venue and use your own judgment. Charging your device on third-party premises is at your own risk and subject to that venue's rules. PlugClose is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Maps and third-party services
Maps, place data, and search are provided via Geoapify and OpenStreetMap, and sign-in via Google. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors; maps © Geoapify.
8. Intellectual property
The PlugClose name, logo, site, and software are owned by PlugClose and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding without permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlugClose and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on charging information, the unavailability of the service, or third-party venues. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination
You can stop using PlugClose at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. (Confirm the governing-law jurisdiction with your legal adviser before launch.)
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
